grounds. Children will love the large creative playground
and games area which includes a toddler's corner,
tire swings, mini-playground, volleyball net and a
long slide. A ball diamond, miniature golf facilities,
and a concession are also provided.
Your stay at the Valley Regional Park would not be
complete if you didn't visit the numerous historical
sites nearby. The area is famous for its colourful
history which centers around thr Riel Rebellion of
1885. Fort Carlton, Batoche, Duck Lake and the Fish
Creek National Historic Site are all within a short
driving distance.
Last but not least a trip six kilometers east of Rosthern
takes you to Seager Wheeler Farm where Dr. Seager
Wheeler grew wheat that won five world championships,
an unprecedented feat in the history of Western Canada.
The Town of Rosthern, located approximately 1 km south
of Valley Regional Park, provides a full range of
services and shopping facilities to its residents
and the many tourists visiting the area each year.
